I was laid up most of the weekend so I took the time for some light reading. My wife, Tanya, will not put a book into her classroom library until she's rad it. When she finished this one book, she recommended it to me and now I'm recommending it to y'all. It's called "The Watsons go to Birmingham -- 1963" by Chritopher Paul Curtis.

It's leveld for a fifth-grader, but I found it interesting and not childish. It'sabout a black family from Flint, Mochigan who take a summer trip to visit family in Birminham, Ala., and the differences in 1963 between the way blacks were treated in Flint and the way they were treated in Birminham.

After I finished that, I've bounced to John Grisham's "The Appeal." I haven't gottem very far in it, so I don't know if I'm liking it. I'll keep you posed.
