As I was lounging on the couch munching some Rasinets the night before last, I thought it a good thing I would never be in charge of making dinner for my granddaughter Tegan.
I started the evening with Raisnets, then moved on to Twizzlers and finished up with Good’n Plenty.
That was dinner.
Bill Cosby had a comedy routine years ago where he fed his children chocolate cake for breakfast, reasoning that the main ingredients– flour, eggs, milk — were the basis of a healthy breakfast.
I could try that tactic — raisins are a fruit that is good for you; Twizzlers have strawberry flavoring, which is kind of like a fruit. I couldn’t figure out anything healthy about Good’n Plenty, so that must be for dessert if Tegan finishes all her dinner.
I doubt Tegan’s mom is feeding her the same things her Poppy would feed her if given the chance. Her mom probably feeds Tegan vegetables and other healthy things — except for brussels sprouts and asparagus — that don’t taste as good as my menu, but is better for her, just not as much fun.
