Do you remember Friday? The last day of the week; the first night of the weekend? I don't.
My oncologist, Dr. Sam Needleman, earlier in the week said my cancer was in strong remission. This should be good news.
But when the alarm went off at 6 Friday morning I dragged myself out of bed, made it to the bathroom, then decided I could rest for about 15 minutes. At 10:45 a.m. I woke up just long enough to call my supervisor to say I wouldn't be in that morning and the afternoon was iffy.
My wife Tanya woke me about 7 and I barely had enough energy to eat half a hamburger, then I fell back alseep. That was it for the rest of the night.
The good news is when 7:30 a.m. came on Saturday, I had energy and was ready for the day, but everyone else was sleeping in, because, after all, it wwas the beginning of their weekend.
