Tuesday night my wife Tanya and I attended an american cancer Society dinner for cancer survivors and their caregivers in advance of Friday's Relay for Life.
On the 16th it'll be a year since the doctors told us I have cancer. The dinner recognized those who are surviving the disease.
One woman is a 29-year survivor; there were many in the 15-20 year bracket. It gives me inspiration and hope that though there's no cure, that I can survive for a number of years like all those people last night.
