I will never, ever buy a car that doesn't have cruise control. My wife Tanya says I have a lead foot when I get behind the wheel, and it's rare when she sits in the passenger seat. She wants to drive because my driving makes her nervous.

I don't think I have a lead foot, or that I drive too fast. I just buy cars that tend to go too fast for the speed limit, no matter where we are. I used to get a lot of speeding tickets that weren't my fault. Now, since I have cruise control, I haven't had a speeding ticket in years.

This morning, I thanked Street Toyota for cruise control when I drove through a section of Interstate 27 infested with motorcycle cops. They had motorists pulled over on both sides of the roadway. I looked in my rear-view mirror and a motorcycle cop was right behind me with his lights flashing. My cruise control said 60 mph. Luckily, the policeman wanted to get around me to nail the guy who had just passed me.

A salesman from Street Toyota told me cruise control as an add-on is about $399. I figure I easily saved that much over the years not being ticketed for speeding.
Thanks, Joe!
