Outdoor activities are no fun when you're taking drugs for cancer.
I went to an airplane fly-in at a small airport south of Amarillo today and while it was neat seeing all the different planes -- and how small some of them are -- it was a lot of walking and I'm only allowed 15 minutes in the sun at a time.
I wonder if some people there wondered who that strange guy was who'd check his watch periodically and duck into one of the hangars for a while.
I was waiting for the Houston Air Angels to arrive -- the volunteers who fly patients like me to Houston free on their own time and fuel expense. They desperately need Amarillo pilots to volunteer to join.
I was only able to stay two hours before I got too tired to enjoy anything more than a nap.
But at least I got out of the house -- an accomplkishment for me when I'm feeling ragged out.
